The folks from iFixit have their hands on the iPhone 4S, and as always they are going to proceed to teardown the phone with surgeon-like precision. They started off by ‘talking’ to Siri:
iFixit: “Siri, may we disassemble you for all to see?”
iPhone 4S (Siri): “42”
iFixit: “I didn’t ask for the meaning of life, Siri…”
iPhone 4S (Siri): “42 is the number of seconds you have left until I initiate the self-destruct sequence…”
iFixit: “Message received.”
Early discoveries reveal Pentalobe screws on the bottom of the phone (again), and a different battery with a whopping extra .05 WHrs compared to the iPhone 4. Right now, there are two pages of teardown images but expect more to come later into the day.
