Ditch The Bulky Wallet For The Wallet Stand iPhone Case From Arctic [Video Review]

With Passbook coming in iOS 6, and perhaps Near Field Communication soon, it’s becoming easier to think about ditching the wallet and just carrying around your iPhone. I know I’d love to be able to do that.

I make nearly all my purchases on my credit or debit card, so carrying around money isn’t all that important either. But there are certain cards you do need to have with you – like your drivers license. So I was really excited to try out the Wallet Stand from Arctic.

It’s a 3-in-1 case for your iPhone 4 and 4S. So not only is it a case, it serves as a mini wallet and a stand. But be warned, if you’re looking for a minimalistic case, this one probably isn’t for you.

Take a look at my video review of the Arctic Wallet Stand.

The Wallet Stand is the perfect fit for me. Now I can carry my drivers license and a credit card and leave the big bulky wallet at home. Sure I sacrifice a the thinness of my iPhone 4S with this case, but I make up for it by not having the wallet.

As I mentioned in the video, the left upper corner of my case does tend to slip off when I’m taking it out of my pocket. It’s not a huge deal, but when the corner lifts up, dirt and stuff can get in the case and there’s the risk of scratching the back of the iPhone. Arctic assures me they are aware of the problem and have taken measures to make sure the fit is nice and tight.

Don’t forget the stand feature either. I use it daily and love the fact it’s built into the case so I don’t have to use something else, or try to prop my iPhone up on something else.

The Wallet Stand from Arctic is easily my new favorite case. While it doesn’t have the slimness or flashy look of say the Metal Weave, it’s a lot more functional for me. If you’ve ever wanted to give a wallet style case a try, give the Wallet Stand some serious consideration.
