“Colors” by SwitchEasy Case Review and CONTEST!

Hey all!

Today’s post will be a special post because I am giving away not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR Colors cases from SwitchEasy. Moreover, I may or may not post for next Sunday, as I will be attending the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, but we’ll see how it goes.

Colors case by SwitchEasy

Over the last few days, I have been testing the Colors case from SwitchEasy and overall I do like it. The case is a silicon type case, so it covers up the entire iPhone 3G except for the screen, however in the package you do get a supplied screen film protector.

The Colors case covers the entire back, sides, top, and bottom of the phone leaving holes open for the camera, the headphone jack, the silent switch, the dock connector, and speaker/microphone. The home button on the case is also padded in a soft plastic-type material so that works well for keeping dust and grime out of the home button area. After the case is on the iPhone 3G, it is a snug fit that feels good in the hand. All the icons and screen are open and easily accessible, which includes the iPhone 3G sensors as well, so you will not have any trouble with those.

After using the case, almost everything about it works pretty well. The only one thing that bothers me is the colour scheme for these cases; everything is really bright and colourful. I am not saying there is anything wrong with colourful cases, but I like my cases to have as little multi-colour schemes as possible. For example, this particular case is labelled as the colour Blue. The case itself is in fact Blue however the home screen button is a lighter shade of blue and so you have a multi coloured case. As you can see with the pictures, the colours get more extravagant. Other than that, which is more of a personal thing, the case is good.

Included with the package, among the screen protector, is a polishing cloth and case plugs for the headphone jack and dock connector. I really like that SwitchEasy added these plugs because with most cases, those are the exposed holes with the iPhone 3G. With the plugs, you can further prevent additional dust or sand or whatever from crawling into your iPhone. Overall, I give the case a 8/10.

The Colors case and the various colour schemes can be purchased from the SwitchEasy online store for $14.99, however I am giving away the four pictured above TODAY! Read below to find out how to win!
