Codenamed Bakepale, the latest v2.0.0 beta 6 update to jailbreak tool Palera1n has just been released, which fully supports iOS 16.4 - iOS 16.4.1 jailbreak.

Today is the day iOS 4.1 is scheduled to be released, as leaked by the Apple UK website. It looks like the update is now live in iTunes! Time to update (do NOT update if you want to keep your jailbreak!).

Im Itune reports firmware 4.0.2 still. I hit Download button and it Downloars 4.1 ! Lol at Apple once more.
Already had GM last week ^_~.
I already have tried to update for 2 times, but once the file is downloaded, I receive an error message saying that the connection is timed out! err = -3259
I don’t know wtf is wrong with itunes, cuz I don’t have any issues with my network.

Anyone notice any preformance improvements on the 3G’s? Mine has been borderline unusable since i loaded 4.0.

Updated without a glitch. Did not experienced the proximity sensor issue before so hopefully nothing will change with that update. Apparently field test mode is back and we can see db signal strength.
Reals? Mine got a performance boost. A lot of people I have helped had
their issues resolved by restoring fresh (not restoring from a backup)
So far it’s looking a lot better. I just had my first 22 minute phone call on the iPhone 4 without hanging up (with my cheek), ear dialing, or activating random apps!
That’s one issue down. Now lets see if it keeps dropping Rogers or makes pictures look like they are taken by candlelight.
anybodys game center not working? when i go to games nothing comes up
Everything seems good to me but I’ve only had my iPhone for 6 days so far. One couple I encountered already I see is fixed, hoping the other few that I found are as well!

4.1 does not fix proximity sensor, mine still a problem.

Just updated to this version and all my folders and settings are gone. Anyones facing this issue ?
try disabling your antivirus and/or firewall when you are updating and installing. i had this problem until i temporary disabled my nod32.
Just updated to 4.1 without any problems at all. The HDR option is amazing! I was skeptical beforehand but tested it on some questionable areas and the pics came out looking way better! Looking forward to uploading HD videos via wi-fi and no proximity sensor hangups (no pun intended) 🙂
After installing 4.1 today, Rogers is the only carrier that shows up under carrier settings. Previously, I had Telus and Bell as well (unlocked iphone). Does this mean my phone is now locked to Rogers? Anyone else had this happen?
oh, false alarm. I tried a couple more times, and the other carriers showed up finally. Whew!

Yes, my first impression, after updating my 3G about a half hour ago, is that my phone is much improved. The phone is much more responsive to touch motions and apps open very quick. Safari opens and loads website way quicker than on iOS 4.0. So far no freezing, which plagued my phone before. Of course, this is only after 30 minutes, so let’s see how I feel after a day or two. To be honest, I can’t even remember the days when my phone worked properly, so this is a real treat.

I updated my 3G last night and still this morning it is much faster than it was on 4.0. The biggest difference I noticed is the maps. GPS is actually usable now. Texts send faster. And another positive is that my keyboard responds immediately rather than freezing and delaying all the time.

SOMEONE PLEASE SHED SOME LIGHT ONE THIS:
When I first got the iPhone 4 and activated it and loaded my backup info onto the phone and everything worked great, calling and texting worked, but if I tried to access the internet it would say “Could Not Activate Cellular Data Network. You are not subcribed to a cellular data service”. Which is BS cause u can’t get the phone w/o a data plan. I called Fido and they tried to reset my network settings and everything but it still wouldn’t connect to the data network. So what I had to do was set up my iPhone 4 as a NEW PHONE and then it started connecting to the data network.
NOW, I just recently updated the iSO to the iSO 4.1 and the same thing is happening again. What do I do???
I just upgraded my iPhone 3G to OS4.1 and the performance is night and day – for the better!! It was definitely worth upgrading

I’ve updated my iphone to version 4.1 and i’ve noticed that 95% of my pictures are all gone! why would this happen??? I’ve sat right beside my copmputer watching every message it would give while updating and it did read that files and pictures were being restored!?!?!? I dont understand where they went, I’ve searched all over my computer and itunes and quicktime! they are completely gone. does anyone know how I can get these back?? or let me know why this happened?
i’ll be waiting for the dev team to give the green light with the jailbreak ability.
