Codenamed Bakepale, the latest v2.0.0 beta 6 update to jailbreak tool Palera1n has just been released, which fully supports iOS 16.4 - iOS 16.4.1 jailbreak.
iOS 4.1 Jailbreak To Be Released on 10/10/10
Looks like those waiting for an iOS 4.1 jailbreak have something to look forward to. @p0sixninja from the Chronic Dev Team has announced that on 10/10/10 at 10:10:10AM, the latest universal jailbreak for iOS 4.1, greenpoison will be released.
This latest jailbreak takes advantage of the SHAtter exploit first discovered by @pod2g.
If you’re looking to jailbreak iOS 4.1, stay tuned to the internets this Sunday, October 10th. Exciting times indeed.

So that would make it:
5:10:10AM for Eastern Time Zone
2:10:10AM for Pacific Time Zone
This release date is in GMT, which means 3:10am on the west coast, here in Canada.
You should still wait until it is released and you’ve heard some success stories.

I have a question. If I jailbreak my iPhone 4 with greenpoison and I have to restore it and send it back to apple for whatever reason. Will it get rid of the jailbreak or will the jailbreak stay since this is a hardware related exploit?

Most likely it will be a custom IPSW, so you will have to create one or download from the web.

Hi, I am sort of a jailbreak noob. I want to know if this is going to be same as Cydia jailbreak that i currently have on my 4.0.1 iPhone 4. If I jailbreak using greenpoison, apps that I downloaded using installous, are they still going to sync?

WoooooHoooooo I lost my jailbreak on Sunday so just had to go a week with out it being jailbroken…..not bad at all! AWESOMENESS! I had a couple of things on there I REALLY wanted back so this is GREAT NEWS!
