These iPhone 5 Silicone Cases Reveal a Thinner, Wider and Longer Design

Here we go again. The only way to figure out what the next generation iPhone 5 might look like is to piece together the tidbits of ‘clues’ being leaked out by sources with close connections to Apple’s supply chain in Asia. According to the latest round of purported iPhone 5 cases, sources revealed to 9to5Mac a design that is thinner, taller, and wider.

The biggest speculation right now is the rumoured tear drop design, and these cases reflect that ever so slightly, as the case thickens from top to bottom. The ringer switch has moved to the other side of the volume buttons, and standard 30 pin connector and speaker/mic cut outs are along the bottom. The interesting part of these cases are the speculated specifications of an iPhone 5 case 5 inches tall, and 2.8 inches wide.

The WSJ has mentioned an iPhone is coming with a larger screen, and these cases just might reflect the necessary room for that. I still want an iPhone Air though.
