You Can Now Jailbreak iOS 16.4.1 with Palera1n 2.0.0 Beta 6
Codenamed Bakepale, the latest v2.0.0 beta 6 update to jailbreak tool Palera1n has just been released, which fully supports iOS 16.4 - iOS 16.4.1 jailbreak.
Pod2g’s Hacker ‘Dream Team’ Provides Update to iPhone 4S Jailbreak Status
Pod2g earlier assembled a hacker ‘Dream Team’ to help him release the untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. He recruited the help of MuscleNerd from the iPhone Dev Team, p0sixninja of the Chronic Dev Team, and Canadian hacker Planetbeing.
The latest update provided is that a new member has joined–Saurik, the founder of Cydia. MuscleNerd notes Saurik made ‘major contributions’ to the untether and pod2g thanks planetbeing for helping with coding and release from the Apple sandbox.
Pod2g notes the jailbreak will not be released earlier to developers to keep the exploit a secret, and also MuscleNerd noted there’s still no ETA on the release itself.
Nevertheless, it appears progress is being made towards the iPhone 4S jailbreak, so stay tuned.

then dont update to 5.1, just stay at 5.0.1 as that is what will be jailbroken. Do you really need the 3G off switch in 5.1 you can probably get that once jailbroken anyways. Nothing else major changes in 5.1
No. They are probably going to wait until the release of 5.1 as to not burn the only exploit they have.
Besides no major changes, 5.1 is due out in around March. The betas expire then.
