A lot of us are holding our breath waiting for an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1. It looks like we’re going to turn blue and keel over, before we see a release. Pod2g tweeted late last night that a release for his latest jailbreak could be a month or 2 away.
Pod2g explains that the team is starting to put everything together, but they don’t really know what issues may arise in this process. Any hurdles in the process take time to resolve, delaying any release.
Pod2g is smart not to give a definite release date. The iPhone Dev Team and the Chronic Dev Team have made this mistake in the past, and when they had issues that needed to be resolved, they missed their deadline. This seemed to enrage the ungrateful trolls who didn’t get their FREE jailbreak on time. Nobody wants to upset the trolls. 😛
We’ll bring you more updates as we get them.
