you know, I’ve upgraded an jailbroke so many times…..but I still get nervous about losing my jailbreak apps every time I do it o_o……can someone tell me theres no risk of losing them 😕
i almost always lose at least a few apps.
pkgBackup really helps with backing up and reinstalling the apps though
itunes is telling me it will erase and restore my phone to the jailbroken 4.3.1
does that mean i will lose all the data on my phone? photos music apps etc?
can i restore a backup after this process?
BAH!!!! cant get the file to actually run….
anyone having a problem running snowbreeze…
window keeps saying error on booting of the system..and it just stops loading…
anyone else having this issue?
Sync your iPhone before you start any jailbreak. That will backup everything on your iPhone (contacts, photos, music, etc etc).
You can then restore to this backup in iTunes after you ‘restore’ to 4.3.1.
Try AptBackup before restoring.
Got error response while “restoring” 4.3.1 and my iPhone 4 was stuck at the recovery mode. Any idea?
Try the process again. Sometimes it will require 2-3 times to get it
working.
I did try 4 times but all failed with same error code. I think it was 1608 or 1603. It took me a while a get out of recovery mode.
Additional note that I chose the option to preserve baseband while my phone is not unlocked, and my previous jb was done by greenp0isn. Don’t know if it’s the reason it failed.
Try another computer, that might work.
At work now. Will try it when I get home later tonight. Thanks Gary!
Now newer version has been released , try out 2.5.1 ……….. i think that will solve your problem
pkgbackup really helps.
