Apple Axes 512GB and 1TB SSD Options for 4K 21.5-inch iMac

After officially removing its iMac Pro from its website yesterday, Apple has also eliminated two SSD storage configurations for the 4K 21.5-inch iMac.

As spotted by MacRumors, 512GB and 1TB SSD storage options are now gone from the 4K 21.5-inch iMac page, which also applies to Canada. Only a 256GB SSD and 1TB Fusion Drive storage are available.

The removal of these storage options may suggest a refresh is coming for the 21.5-inch 4K iMac lineup. With Apple Silicon impressing so far in the 13-inch MacBook Air and Pro, plus Mac mini, it’s only a matter of time before the entire Mac lineup moves to M1 or newer chips, as rumoured.
