Costco Canada to Sell Apple’s Mac Computers Soon [u]

Costco canada mac sales

Costco Canada is planning the launch of Apple’s Mac computers at warehouses and online soon, according to sources familiar with the situation, speaking to iPhone in Canada.

Costco locations in Canada used to sell Apple’s MacBook Pro models years ago, but eventually, sales ceased, most likely due to customer returns and the company’s liberal return policy for electronics, prior to the current 90 day period we have today.

Sources note Mac sales may launch online and at warehouses as soon as tomorrow or this weekend, with retail locations selling various MacBook Pro, Mac mini, MacBook Air and iMac models. Inventory has been set up within the company’s computer systems since last month, according to sources.

We’re told most models will come bundled with AppleCare, similar to what’s available at American Costco locations. Costco warehouses are said to be prepping separate tables to showcase Mac models, similar to existing tables showing off iPad models. Some stores in Alberta have apparently already started prepping display tables.

iPhone in Canada has been able to independently confirm our source’s claim, as Costco Canada will indeed be selling Mac computers, according to a local warehouse employee we spoke with. In regards to when stock will arrive, “they should be coming in soon” and “definitely before Christmas,” we’re told.

Mac sales at Costco will fall under the company’s 90-day return policy, while purchases made by Executive Members will see 2% go towards their annual rebate cheque.

Are you excited to be able to buy Macs at Costco Canada again?

Update: There was a 2019 MacBook Air listed on Costco.ca late yesterday evening, but has since been removed.

Update Nov. 18: Mac sales are available on Costco.ca and at most warehouses now.
