Apple has just announced in a press release macOS Catalina is launching today, finally bringing Apple Arcade to the Mac. The company previously announced Catalina would be coming in “October”, and now the date has arrived.
We knew the release was imminent, as developers were seeded macOS Catalina 10.15 GM last week.
The software update for Mac will bring dedicated Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Podcasts apps. Other apps such as Notes and Reminders get updated with new layouts and features. A new feature called Sidecar will let users turn their iPads into secondary displays, while Screen Time finally comes to the Mac, after first launching on iOS.
