Twitter confirmed shortly after WWDC they would be coming back to the Mac and as of last night, the new Mac app for macOS Catalina hit the Mac App Store.
“By supporting key Mac-specific behaviors on top of our iOS code, we will be able to maintain feature parity across our iOS and Mac apps with relatively low long term maintenance costs,” explained Twitter back in June.
In this Catalyst version of Twitter for Mac, it supports Dark Mode in macOS Catalina and will be familiar to those who have used Twitter on the iPad.
Twitter axed its native app for Mac back in February 2018, opting to move people over to the web instead. Now, a native Twitter app has returned to the Mac, for macOS Catalina users.
