Alleged Roadmap Says Microsoft Office for iOS to Arrive in Fall 2014?

We have heard ongoing rumours about Microsoft Office launching on iOS, but now according to an allegedly leaked product roadmap, ZDNet reports it won’t arrive until October 2014. Part of the leaked roadmap also reveals a new version of Office for Mac won’t arrive until spring of next year as well:

Gemini Wave 1.0 (October 2013): Windows Blue app updates

Gemini Wave 1.5 (April 2014): Office for Mac; Office RT refresh; Perceptive Pixel support; Windows Phone support refresh

Gemini Wave 2.0 (October 2014): Outlook RT; Office for iOS/Android

Last fall it was reported in leaks that Office for iOS was set to launch this year, with other reports revealing various versions of Office for iPhone and other versions for the iPad. I don’t know about you but so far we have managed to live without Office for iOS as other alternatives are available such as Google Docs for basic word processing and spreadsheet work. Are you looking forward to Office for iOS?
