Ahead of Amazon’s summer Prime Day shopping event, the company has also announced a Prime Day Concert is coming on July 10, 2019, headlined by Grammy Award-winning artist, Taylor Swift and more.

The Prime Day Concert will stream live online at 6PM PDT/9PM EDT in what is being called “a first-of-its-kind event that celebrates the best in Amazon entertainment, exclusively for Prime members.”

Other artists performing include Dua Lipa, SZA and Becky G., in a concert hosted by Jane Lynch. Amazon says the Prime Day Concert will also be available to stream on demand after the show “for a limited time on Prime Video,” with select songs available from the performance.

“We can’t wait to celebrate Prime Day with an extraordinary night of unforgettable performances, for members around the globe,” said Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music, in a statement. “Prime Day brings members the best of both entertainment and shopping. To celebrate, we’ve curated a lineup across multiple genres with performances from artists our customers love. We’re looking forward to celebrating Prime Day with this can’t-miss, one-of-a-kind event.”

The Prime Day Concert will be available to stream live around the world in over 200 countries, including Canada.

For Prime members who haven’t tried Amazon Music Unlimited yet, the company says you can get 4 months of premium streaming for only $0.99, offering access to over 50 million songs, without ads.

Those with Alexa devices can also ask, “Alexa, play the Prime Day Concert playlist” on Amazon Music, to get ready for the concert in July.

Customers with Fire TV or Echo Show devices will be able to ask on July 10, “Alexa, play the Prime Day Concert” or “Alexa, show me the Prime Day Concert”, to bring up the live concert stream right on their devices.

Amazon Prime Day is set for July 15-16, offering 48 hours of deals, the longest annual shopping event by the company to date.
