Following the conclusion of Apple’s media event today in San Francisco, Apple has seeded the first beta Apple tvOS to developers. The beta was seeded alongside the iOS 9 Golden Master, the first iOS 9.1 beta, and a new beta of watchOS 2.

Apple tvOS, which was just announced today, is the operating system that runs on the fourth-generation Apple TV. The new operating system includes a full App Store and an SDK for developers, which will allow them to create apps specifically for the Apple TV.

All of the beta software is available to download immediately from the Apple Developer Center.

Apple tvOS will be available for the general public in October, when the new Apple TV is released. The new Apple TV includes a new physical design, superior and faster internals, a revolutionary remote with glass touch pad and key new features including Siri and a built-in App Store.
