Apple Posts Jobs Listing for Senior Legal Counsel for Health Products

As spotted by MyHealthyApple, Apple appears to be planning to launch some new Apple-branded health products as the company has just posted a job listing for Senior Legal Counsel for Health Products.

This listing marks the second health-related regulatory position that Apple is hiring within the last 30 days. The position will be a key role in the Apple Products Law group, that supports the development of Apple’s health products and works with Apple’s engineering, marketing, operations, clinical, and regulatory teams.

According to Apple, the health counsel will be responsible for the following:

• 6+ years of regulatory counseling experience advising on wellness features and medical devices, including counseling related to design, clinical data, product marketing, and distribution.
• Experience interacting with and supporting submissions to the FDA and equivalent agencies outside the U.S.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex academic center, clinical trial/research, and commercial agreements.
• Skilled at advising and counseling business teams and leadership on complex legal risks, including issues related to intellectual property, data privacy, and product marketing and distribution.

In addition to new health-products, Apple is also working on adding new features to the Apple Watch, including Blood pressure and Blood Glucose monitoring capabilities.
