Apple to Launch Apple Watch and iPad Air on Tuesday Still, Claims Leaker

On the weekend, Apple leaker Jon Prosser said the iPhone maker was scheduled to make a press release announcement on Tuesday, September 8 at 9am EST.

Prosser on Monday evening has now reiterated something is coming tomorrow, citing his sources still claim it will be a new Apple Watch (most likely Series 6) and new iPad Air, announced via press release and instead of a virtual event.

“Okay, guys. Last tweet of the night. My sources are not budging or changing their mind,” said Prosser this evening. “They’re still telling me that Apple Watch and iPad Air are coming tomorrow via press release. See you all in the morning to find out!”

After Prosser tweeted on the weekend about his Tuesday prediction, reliable Apple leaker and scoop machine, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, poured some cold water on the latter’s so-called leak.

“I wouldn’t get too excited about rumors of new Apple products appearing this week. More likely I think: an announcement of the upcoming (of course virtual) September iPhone/Apple Watch event,” said Gurman on Sunday afternoon.

Currently, Apple.ca has had select Apple Watch Series 5 models marked as “unavailable” for the past week, suggesting a new launch is imminent.

Let’s find out in the morning to see what’s going to actually happen. Stay tuned, folks (and grab your popcorn).
