Today is the official 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter franchise. Facebook is celebrating with a magical easter egg for posts on the social media service.
Users who’s status updates contain the phrase ‘Harry Potter, ‘Gryffindor,’ ‘Ravenclaw,’ ‘Hufflepuff,’ or ‘Slytherin’ will display an animation of a wand casting a spell. This is just further proof that your cursor is an actual magic wand!
Clicking on any of the words yields even more sparks and explosions. The trick also works if you type in the words Harry Potter, and it’s coloured in red to mark Harry’s own house of Gryffindor.
