Facebook, Instagram Experiencing Outages on U.S. Thanksgiving

If you’ve been unable to post to Facebook or view stories on Instagram today, you’re not alone as Facebook and Instagram have both been suffering intermittent outages throughout the day. Instagram has officially acknowledged the issue as well, noting in a Tweet that they are working to get things back to normal (via The Verge).

A wide number of users across the globe have been reporting the outages across both Facebook and Instagram, with some users also reporting problems signing into the Messenger.

As per DownDetector, Instagram seems to be suffering the worst in central Europe, while Facebook users are reporting outages mostly in the US. Given that it’s Thanksgiving today in the U.S., it’s certainly not a convenient time for outages on social media.
