Citing three industry executives, the publication notes that the delay is attributed in part to pandemic-related issues such as interior fitting and other supplies getting delayed due to shipping constraints.

Apple will now open its store in the first quarter of 2023. It also states that Apple is negotiating for more retail space in Delhi, Mumbai, and other cities.

The first-ever Apple Store in India is set to be a 22,000 sq ft unit in Mumbai’s Jio World Drive Mall and is tipped as a retail landmark in the country.

At the moment, Apple’s best physical presence in India is via a premium reseller named Unicorn, which announced plans to open 4-6 new stores in the country in the near future.
