Friday Podcasts: Apple’s Tom Boger on Vector; Tesla’s Elon Musk on Recode Decode

Happy Friday, folks. Daylight saving time ends this weekend, so with an extra hour in hand, here are a couple podcasts worth listening to.

Apple Senior Director on Vector

First up, we have Apple’s Senior Director of Mac Product Marketing, Tom Boger, speaking with Canadian Rene Ritchie from iMore on his podcast, Vector. Boger was on stage at Apple’s keynote earlier this week, debuting the new Mac mini to the world. The podcast is just under 37 minutes long.

Elon Musk on Recode Decode

Next, Tesla CEO Elon Musk joins Kara Swisher on Recode Decode  for just under 80 minutes, talking about pretty much everything. Musk is awesome and so is Swisher, who is never afraid to tell it like it is. Tesla recently launched Navigate on Autopilot, while also ‘advanced summon’ is coming soon.

Musk says Tesla wants to release products that make people happy. He compares it to how Apple used to release products that would blow people’s minds. “I don’t think a lot of people are necessarily running to a store to buy an iPhone 11.” It’s true. They’re running to ATMs instead with recent price increases.

The Tesla CEO says he still uses an iPhone and wants to release products that “people just love.” Swisher says she loves Apple’s AirPods as they make her happy.

Below is a video showing how Navigate on Autopilot works. Some pretty crazy stuff (jump to 7:33):
