IMDA Listing Confirms Google Pixel 4a with NFC Ahead of Rumoured July 13 Launch

A couple of months back, detailed specs for Google’s upcoming mid-range Pixel 4a smartphone were leaked on the web, revealing a 5.81-inch OLED FHD+ display with an improved resolution of 2340 x 1080. Today, the IMDA certification website has confirmed that the Pixel 4a will be a 4G device with support for NFC (via MySmartPrice).

As seen in the image above, the Google Pixel 4a will sport the model number Google G025N and will run on Wi-Fi abgn band.

“Other than what we mentioned, the IMDA certification fails to mention anything else about the device. Adding to this, the Google Pixel 4a has also been listed on the Indian BIS certification website, which does not necessarily mean that it would launch in India, but it is still an indication nevertheless.”

Based on earlier leaks, the Google Pixel 4a will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 system-on-a-chip with 8 cores, 6 of which operate at the lower 1.8 GHz while two high-performance cores clocked at 2.2 GHz. It will be housed in a plastic body with a hole punch in its 5.81-inch display for the front-facing camera.

While the exact launch date has not yet been announced, a recent leak suggests that the Google Pixel 4a will launch on July 13, 2020.
