iOS 14 Leak Details iPad Pro, iPhone 9, New Apple TV Remote and More

More leaks from iOS 14 have detailed upcoming features and product details from Apple, according to 9to5Macrelated to iPad Pro, iPhone 9, Apple TV and ‘AirTags’.

When it comes to iPad Pro, iOS 14 is detailing a new triple-lens camera, featuring a time-of-flight 3D sensor, in what is assumed for augmented reality, a wide-angle lens, ultra-wide lens and telephoto lens. This triple-camera lens setup sounds like it’s taken from iPhone 11 Pro and also what reliable leaker CoinX may have been referring to last week.

As for iPhone 9 (or iPhone SE 2?), it’s said to include Touch ID and also support for Express Transit mode, allowing the device’s NFC chip to act as a transit card for supported metros. This model is rumoured to debut this spring and is apparently in its production verification stage.

Apple TV will get a new Apple TV remote according to iOS 14 code, while a new workout application is coming.

“This application will allow users to download exercises and workouts and be coached via the Apple TV. All data will sync to Apple Watch, while Apple Music integration will allow users to listen to their own music during the workouts,” writes 9to5Mac’s Chance Miller.

As for Apple’s Tile tracker competitor, known as “AirTags’, these will come with a user-replaceable battery, corroborating a previous MacRumors report.

It remains unclear whether Apple will hold a special event this spring, given the current health climate with coronavirus. San Francisco has declared a state of emergency over coronavirus, while Santa Clara County in California has banned mass gatherings over COVID-19 fears.
