Some iPhone 11/11 Pro, Apple Watch Series 5 Deliveries Getting Delayed in Canada

Today is the launch of Apple’s iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and Apple Watch Series 5 in Canada.

While initial pre-orders offered Reserve and Pick Up, Apple has informed some customers their orders have now been delayed, “due to some last minute logistical issues,” and unavailable at scheduled check-in times.

Apple says once orders are ready they will inform customers via email, saying “we expect this to be no later than Monday,” adding they are sorry for the delay.

Other customers who pre-ordered iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro in the Greater Toronto Area are seeing their shipments delayed by UPS, due to “an emergency situation or severe weather condition.”

Many are saying these status updates don’t make sense, as weather in Concord is showing sunny and 22 degrees.

UPS gets overwhelmed by the sheer number of iPhone and Apple Watch launch orders. There may not be enough drivers to deliver all packages in time by the end of day on Friday.

So like last year in our case, UPS sends out delivery delay messages to set expectations. Our iPhone XS Max order arrived late into the evening last year. This may not be the case for everyone, but cross your fingers and hope your order arrives today, and if it doesn’t, it will have to be Monday. #firstworldproblems

Thanks everyone
