Apple Says iPhone X Customer Demand is “Off the Charts”

Apple launched iPhone X pre-orders earlier this morning with initial launch day stock selling out in mere minutes, and current shipping times listed as shipping in 5-6 weeks.

The company has responded to iPhone X pre-orders to say launch demand has been “off the charts”, according to a spokesperson’s statement to TechCrunch:

We are thrilled to be taking orders for iPhone X, the future of the smartphone. We can see from the initial response, customer demand is off the charts. We’re working hard to get this revolutionary new product into the hands of every customer who wants one, as quickly as possible. We will keep accepting orders online, and iPhone X will be available at Apple retail stores on Friday, November 3 starting at 8 a.m., as well as from our carrier and retailer partners around the world.

Apple says they are “working hard” to get iPhone X into the hands of customers “as quickly as possible”.

If you just woke up now, you’re probably thinking you don’t want to wait 5-6 weeks for iPhone X. But if you have an Apple Store in your area, Reserve and Pick Up reopens on November 4 at 8AM local time, so you still have a chance.

iPhone X pre-orders are currently available from carriers Rogers, Telus, Bell as well.

This was the worst Pre Order to date. Absolutely pathetic.

I disagree….when I ordered the 7+ last year, there were many issues. From reading the Twitter stream, it seemed many were successful despite the X being available in [significant] limited quantities unlike the 7+.

Even Gary was able to get his order through with a November 3 shipping date. How’d you manage to do that without experiencing any Apple network hiccups?

I certainly didn’t find it easy to order the iPhone X last night. Was on multiple devices trying for 15 minutes before I finally got into the Apple store app only to find a 2-3 week delivery time.

And this iPhone is available to preorder in more than 50 countries, as where the iPhone 7 was about 20 countries on launch day if I recall

Apple needs to get there shit together when it comes to delivering product. Don’t launch something that has high demand and not have the supply. Seems like this is a recurring theme with them. When your a top dog you have to be more prepared for this! Unless this is done intentionally.

If you still have any doubts, after all these years, that Apple is not doing this intentionally, than YOU need to get your shit together. Of course it is.
