Apple iWatch Circuit Boards Delivered Ahead of September Launch [Digitimes]

Are we one step closer to the launch of Apple’s iWatch? Taiwanese publication Digitimes reports suppliers Flexium Interconnect, Zhen Ding Technology Holding and Career Technology have delivered flexible circuit board samples intended for the iWatch to Apple for “validation”, ahead of its rumoured September launch:

Apple is expected to unveil the iWatch wearable devices in September, the sources indicated.

Zhen Ding, the largest Apple circuit board supplier of the three plans to invest over $100 million US to increase its production capacity this year, reportedly part of increasing demand from Apple, which wants these parts for their larger iPhones and iPads, claims sources. The other suppliers are also ramping up their production capacities of flexible printed circuit boards (FPCB) by increasing spending.

Just yesterday another report from Asia claimed Apple’s rumoured iWatch would launch in Q3 of 2014 and possibly include a UV light exposure sensor. Maybe an iWatch launch for the fall to go along with new iPhones and iPads?
