BLUE Microphones, an audio production company that produces microphones, headphones, recording tools, signal processors, and music accessories for audio professionals, musicians and consumers, has been acquired by Logitech.
Blue mics are used by legendary music artists like Bob Dylan and Imagine Dragons, with their Yeti and Snowball lines being the most popular. “We loved Blue and their products the moment we discovered them. And we’re convinced we can do great things together”, said Logitech in the official press release.
Here’s what Logitech CEO Bracken Darrell said about the acquisition:
“Logitech’s acquisition of Blue Microphones will accelerate our entry into a growing market and offers another way for us to help bring people’s passions (from music to blogging) to life. Joining with Blue is an adjacent opportunity for us – a new way to grow – with additional synergies related to our existing gaming, PC webcam and audio categories. It’s exciting!”
While it may be a new space for Logitech, Gamers are already using the Logitech G webcams to stream, while others are using them to make video calls with friends and family every day.
Joining up with Blue and their microphone lines should help Logitech develop a brand new line of audio products. For more info, hit up this link.
