Microsoft Airs New Surface Pro 3 vs MacBook Air Attack Ad for the Holidays [VIDEO]

Microsoft is back at it with a new commercial touting its Surface Pro 3 as a laptop replacement, again comparing it to Apple’s MacBook Air:

Both a tablet and a laptop in one device? Crazy.

Well, not really. Surface Pro 3 is that and more. Pen, Kickstand, Adobe Photoshop, detachable Keyboard, Office and Windows. The list goes on. Surface Pro 3 – the tablet that can replace your laptop.

This ad though has a holiday theme for Christmas, with the singing of the popular Winter Wonderland, a classic written by Felix Bernard and Richard Smith in 1934.

Below we see the Surface Pro 3 tout its touchscreen, pen capabilities and mighty kickstand as reasons why it’s better than the MacBook Air, which was referred to as “delightful” though. Check it out below:

Since the debut of the 12-inch Surface Pro 3 back in May, Microsoft has repeatedly targeted Apple’s MacBook Air, exploiting the latter’s so-called ‘weaknesses’ numerous times.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated last month at the company’s quarterly earnings report the Surface Pro 3 was selling at double the rate of the Surface Pro 2 (which previously attacked the iPad Air), with revenue for Surface exceeding $908 million for the quarter. I guess this balances out for the $900 million write down of the failed Surface RT, eh?

In comparison, Apple’s recent Q3 saw $42.1 billion in revenue, with 12.3 million iPads and 5.5 million Macs sold. It’ll be interesting if we ever get to see actual sales numbers from Microsoft and not just tablets shipped.
