For the longest time, we’ve hoped for Mario Kart to grace our iPhones, and that wish was granted this evening, as Nintendo of American confirmed via Twitter a mobile version of the game is coming by March 2019:
The checkered flag has been raised and the finish line is near. A new mobile application is now in development: Mario Kart Tour! #MarioKartTour Releasing in the fiscal year ending in March 2019.

That’s still over a year away, and pretty early for Nintendo to announce Mario Kart Tour, which most likely will land on iOS and Android like its current mobile titles. Maybe we’ll see an exclusive iOS launch like Super Mario Run?
Most likely we’ll find out more about Mario Kart Tour as we progress throughout 2018, but until then, let’s hope Nintendo makes this one good and includes a killer multiplayer mode.
