Alleged Slim ‘iPhone 12’ Packaging Shows No Space for Charger, EarPods

For the past couple of weeks, there have been multiple rumours and reports suggesting that Apple has decided to ship its upcoming ‘iPhone 12’ lineup without a charging brick or wired EarPods in the box. The company is even sending surveys to iPhone users about how they use the USB charger that comes in the box.

Today, a purported image showing a slim ‘iPhone 12’ package obtained through a “really reliable source” has been leaked online by the folks over at Concepts iPhone, which further confirms Ming-Chi Kuo’s recent claim that Apple will remove in-box accessories to offset the cost of the smartphone’s 5G networking components

Looking at the image, it appears the ‘iPhone 12’ will be shipping with a Lightning to USB-C cable wrapped up in the box, with a smaller cutout for the small iPhone booklet and Apple stickers. The iPhone itself would presumably rest on top just like it has in the past (via 9to5Mac).

Kuo also claimed last week that Apple will release a 20W power adapter as an optional, sold-seperately accessory, as well as end production of its existing 5W and 18W power adapters later this year.
