If you have a Sony PlayStation 5, you can get six months of Apple TV+ free.

According to the Sony deal, it says if you redeem the offer from now until July 22, 2022, you can get an extended free trial of Apple’s streaming service.

After the extended trial period, you will be charged the regular monthly price for Apple TV+, which is $5.99 CAD per month. The fine print says Canadians are eligible for this Apple TV+ offer.

To claim the free trial of Apple TV+, you’ll need a PlayStation Network account and an Apple ID. Here’s how to get the offer, explains Sony:

  1. Find the Apple TV app from your PS5 console’s search bar, or find it under “All apps” in Media home.
  2. Download and open the Apple TV app and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID or create an Apple ID if you don’t already have one.
  4. Enjoy your six free months of Apple TV+

The fine print says current Apple TV+ free trial users, or current subscribers, are eligible for this offer. But for those subscribed to Apple TV+ through a bundle like Apple One, you aren’t eligible.

Sony continues to deal with shortage issues with the PlayStation 5, exacerbated by the global semiconductor shortage and high demand for its latest console.
