Tile today announced Premium Protect, a subscription service launching in the U.S. aimed at offering its tracker customers “even more protection,” in the form of up to $1,000 USD annually worth of item reimbursements.

Coming this fall, Tile says Premium Protect has all the benefits of Premium, but extra added item reimbursement for up to $1,000 per year, “for things Tile is unable to find within seven days.”

Tile Premium Protect says the warranty is provided with global insurance partner Cover Genius.

“We’ve spent the past seven years building a finding service to address the universally shared pain point of losing everyday items. We’re so confident in what we’ve built that we’re expanding on our promise to offer our customers the ultimate level of protection. With Item Reimbursement, if we can’t find it, we reimburse you for it – it’s as simple as that,” said Tile CEO, CJ Prober, in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada.

Tile says its Premium subscription has seen a 100% year-over-year growth. Premium Protect will be priced at $99.99 USD per year.

Will Tile Premium Protect launch in Canada? A Tile spokesperson told iPhone in Canada in a statement, “The hope is to roll it out globally, but no dates yet.”

Apple is said to launch its rumoured AirTags, which aim to compete with Tile trackers and may be announced next week at the company’s special event on Tuesday.
