Tim Cook’s Latest Charitybuzz Campaign Raises $515,000

Apple CEO Tim Cook’s latest Charitybuzz fundraiser campaign has raised $515,000, which will support the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights group. The generous bidder has also won an exclusive lunch with the Apple CEO at 1 Infinite Loop, plus an invite to attend a future Apple event during the next one year (via 9to5Mac).
“Cook’s Charitybuzz campaign raising $515,000 compares to previous efforts in past years including $200,000 in 2015, $330,001 in 2014, and $610,000 in 2013. Bidding was extended multiple times after late entries were made during the last 10 minutes of the scheduled auction”.
The prize was officially valued at $100,000, but bidding surpassed that amount within a few days of the start of auction.
With Apple scheduled to open its new “spaceship” Campus 2 early next year, it’s quite likely the winner would wait to visit Apple’s new location before the offer expires.
