Uber Updates App to Make it Easier for Riders to See Their Own Ratings

Today, Uber announced that passenger ratings will be displayed prominently within its iOS app. A rider’s rating is now displayed under their name in the app’s menu that slides out from the left.

Previously, riders had to visit an Uber support site and sign into their account to view their score. However, most riders never knew about this site because it was never advertised by Uber.

While most Uber users are likely familiar with rating drivers on a five-star scale after a trip, drivers can also rate passengers. The goal here is better rider behavior, with the majority of things like “eating in the car, slamming the door, or trying to pile in more people than seat belts” being reduced.

Uber for iOS is available as a free download from the App Store. The app requires any device running iOS 8.0 or later.
