What’s Included:

Crimson’s AFC Series cases for iPhone 4/4S come in standard packaging all of which include the aluminum frame case with corner guards, a simple tool kit consisting of a hex wrench and 2 spare screws, a microfiber cleaning cloth and a set of high quality anti-fingerprint surface protectors for front and rear.

Installation:

The included hex wrench inside the tool kit makes the installation process fairly simple. The stainless steel screws slip nicely into the designated holes at corners and can be tightened with the hex wrench as easily.

The Aluminum Frame Case:

The AFC case is made up of aircraft-grade aluminum that doesn’t add any significant bulk to the iPhone. Its bumper style design allows unobstructed access to all the ports and buttons without interfering with the camera flash. The unique frame design with engraved Crimson logo does make the iPhone stand out, especially the Gold finish on a white handset.

In terms of protection, the high-grade aluminum frame is sure to protect against usual bumps and drops for the most part but like any other bumper-style case, the exposed areas lack protection. I was expecting to see some scratches on the case with routine usage due to its delicate finish but surprisingly, after a few days use, none have appeared so far.

The Verdict:

The Crimson AFC in 24K Gold finish will surely make your iPhone 4/4S shine out in the crowd, though with slightly limited protection, unlike any other bumper case in the market.
