Tesla launched the first Model Y deliveries in Canada this month and car-sharing app Turo has a new incentive program targeting these owners.
According to Tesla North, Turo says the peer-to-peer car-sharing platform—which expanded to BC this month—is offering up a $500 bonus for qualified hosts listing their Model Y in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, or British Columbia.
Requirements for the bonus include completing trips of $500 or more using their Model Y and owners also need to be based in Canada. Turo says the promotion is also only limited to the first 10 hosts who meet these requirements, which also include willingness to participate in a photoshoot and interview for press purposes.
Turo says hosts earn on average $620 per month listing their vehicles on the platform, with other Tesla models available. Given how new the Model Y is, many potential buyers may be interested in renting the car for test drives. The question is are you willing to lend out your new baby during COVID-19 for the sake of $500 in cold, hard cash?
