The Apple Watch has become the best selling smartwatch in the world, Apple CEO Tim Cook said today during the media event held at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino. But what matters more, is customer satisfaction, where the Watch also excels, he added.
About a third of Watch users regularly change the bands, and they love how the new band changes the look of the wearable, so in line with rumours Apple today announced new bands woven nylon bands, which will be available in a few different colours, with a “four layer construction.”
Alongside the new woven nylon bands the “spring lineup” — as Tim Cook called it — also includes new colour for sport and leather bands and the rumoured space black Milanese loop, available for $279 CAD ($199 USD).
The new woven nylon bands cost $69 and are available to ship from 1 business day to 5-7 business days. Colour options include: Gold/Red, Gold/Royal Blue, Royal Blue, Pink, Pearl, Scuba Blue, and Black. The latter is available to ship in one business day in Canada.
Apple also dropped the Apple Watch pricing to $299 (USD) which means Canadian pricing starts at $399 (CAD) for the 38mm Sport model.
