Audible (owned by Amazon) has released an update to their iOS app to bring for Apple Watch support.
The new Audible Apple Watch app allows customers to sync Audible titles from their iPhone then play them on their watch via Bluetooth. The app allows users to rewind, pause or set a timer directly from Apple Watch.
Audible for Apple Watch is possible because of watchOS 5, explains the company in an email to iPhone in Canada. The new app allows Audible listeners to be free of their iPhone to listen to audiobooks while on the go.
According to the company in a statement to iPhone in Canada, “The ability to enjoy Audible directly from an Apple Watch opens up a range of potential listening activities and locations such as: at the gym, lounging poolside, during a run – situations where customers might want to listen while carrying as little equipment as possible.”
