City of Vancouver Renews PayByPhone Parking Contract

PayByPhone (formerly Verrus) has announced it has reached a renewed contract with the City of Vancouver to offer its parking system for three years on street meters:

Following a competitive selection process, the City of Vancouver has signed a new contract with PayByPhone (formerly Verrus) to continue its popular pay by phone parking system for a further 3 years at all on-street meters. The new contract continues to make the service available at no extra cost to the driver, no maximum stay restrictions after 6pm and there will be new meter stickers with mobile app features to make payment easier. But don’t wait, you can start using the PayByPhone app now.

PayByPhone has a fantastic iPhone app to allow users to easily pay for parking, launched last July. In early October, PayByPhone announced support toll payments for the new Port Mann bridge, which will commence on December 8th.

As for other cities in Canada, PayByPhone launched in Ottawa this April.
