Telus prepaid brand Public Mobile has announced a new refer a friend promotion, which can now generate a one-time $10 credit for friends you refer to the wireless carrier:
Until May 10th, 2018, if you refer a friend to Public Mobile and they activate, your friend will get a one-time $10 account credit to offset the cost of their SIM card. Plus, you’ll receive a $1 referral reward as part of our rewards program!
Normally, Public Mobile referrals only would provide a $1/month credit to those referring the service, not for new customers joining the service.
In order for new referrals to gain the one-time $10 credit, they need to activate on a 30 or 90-day plan during the promo period, which runs from April 19 to May 10, 2018. Your friends will need to enter your phone number and not their down during the sign-up process.
One-time $10 credits will appear in Self-Serve within 72 hours of activating, says Public Mobile.
Lately, Public Mobile has been offering its existing customers switcher plans to move over to sister company Koodo with postpaid plans. The resulting exodus has left some Public Mobile customers with fewer monthly referral credits, as once a friend leaves the service, $1/month credits disappear.
Just last week, Telus flanker brand Koodo doubled their refer a friend credit to $50 each, as part of a limited time promo.
