One week ago Apple announced an a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro with more RAM, brighter screen with higher 120Hz refresh rate and more.
The first batch of press reviews are now in, and what people are saying is they’re impressed with this new iPad Pro—but its full potential will be when iOS 11 is released this fall, as it comes with more features for iPad users.
Here’s a roundup of reviews so far:
- New York Times
- Business Insider
- Laptop Mag
- Fast Company
- The Verge

According to battery tests performed by ArsTechnica, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro had longer performance than all iPads available today when it came to a Wi-Fi browsing test. Reviewers also loved the 120Hz refresh rate, and suspect it will eventually make its way into iOS and Mac products too.
The 10.5-inch iPad Pro starts at $869 in Canada for the 64GB Wi-Fi model. Throw in Apple Pencil for $129 and the Smart Keyboard for $219, the total for this package comes to $1,217 plus tax, comparable to the cost of Apple’s aging 13-inch MacBook Air (which got a minor processor bump at WWDC).
