If you’re looking to get the latest version of the evasi0n7 jailbreak tool, @pod2g has just tweeted version 1.0.1 is now available for Mac and PC users, available for download via evasi0n.com.

@pod2g notes the pirated Chinese App Store TaiG has been removed from the package (it was remotely disabled yesterday) and also says iPad 2 compatibility will come in the next day or so, given it’s Christmas. There are no other major release notes for this version.

Previously, iOS hacker geohot declared evasi0n7 to be safe of any rumoured Chinese backdoor as he reverse engineered the jailbreak tool.

Did they fix the crashing? The last version made my phone freeze as well as appear to be full with ‘other’ data so I couldn’t out music on it

The crashing was most likely due to incompatible Cydia tweaks.
