How to Follow the Olympics on your iPhone 3G

Everybody right now has caught some sort of Olympic fever by now. If it wasn’t the dazzling opening ceremonies that got you, the incredible displays of sheer strength and agility in the gymnastics will get ya. If you have the 6GB data plan on your iPhone 3G then you have no excuse to stay connected to the Olympics.

Want to follow the latest news involving your fellow Canadian athletes in Beijing, plus others too? It’s easy. Head over to CBC’s iPhone-optimized website and get the latest news and stories. Just visit the following URL via Safari browser: http://www.cbc.ca/iphone/olympics

Here are a few screenshots of the website and the homescreen icon:

*edit* – some other great sites are http://iphone.toughturtle.com/olympics/ and Mippin (with videos!)

There are other ways to follow the Olympics via the App Store too, however your options are limited:
– Lenovo Summer Olympics (FREE): only follows American athletes, very limited scope
– Beijing2008 ($1.99): A medal tracker, pretty basic
– Fandora’s Box 2008 Summer Games ($0.99): results, news, and highlights
– iOlympics ($0.99): displays current Olympic and World records so you can win every single argument with your friends and family

We’re still waiting for Canada to get their first medal at the games…be one of the first to get the breaking news via the CBC’s iPhone-optimized website! Who do you guys think will end up atop the medal standings? China? USA? South Korea? Canada (in our dreams)? I can’t wait for Track and Field to start…ciao!

um… ok… check out audiko.net , its entirely free and you can use any song in your library!! or you can just pick from what they have. Im still playing with it and ive learned to first of all ‘download iphone ringtone’ AND also ‘download to desktop.’ When i didnt downloaded to desktop and closed itunes then reopened it, the file would be missing and not play.

Am I missing it, or did you forget to put the link to the cbc olympic site? Half of it is in your screen shot but that’s all I see.
