We all know by now that Apple supports HTML5 for video over Adobe’s Flash plugin. Yes, Flash is a resource/battery hog, but there still are tonnes of sites out there that are built on Flash. Streaming video sites, Flash games, etc–they all require Flash. Here’s how to install Flash on your iPhone 4 if you really want to. Use at your own risk of course.
Get Flash on your iPhone 4/3GS/iPod Touch 3G with Frash via Cydia
Step 1: Jailbreak your iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3G with JailbreakMe (if you get the frozen purple screen error, reset your network settings and try again).
Step-2: Launch Cydia. Go to Sources–Edit–Add.
Enter the URL http://repo.benm.at and tap Add Source. They’ll refresh/load changes. Tap on ‘Return to Cydia’.
Step 3: Search for ‘Frash’ and install it. Reboot your iPhone. DONE!
There is no icon for Frash on the homescreen as it runs in the background. I’d also suggest installing Frash Toggle so you can turn Frash on/off quickly via SBSettings.
I just installed this on my iPhone 4 to test it out. On websites that have Flash content, a grey box with the word “Flash” appears. Just tap the box, and Flash will display.
Upon testing out GlobalTVBC.com and BNN.ca, I was able to load Flash ads, but the moment videos were about to start, Frash crashed mobile Safari. Multiple times. I’m sure these early bugs will be fixed in upcoming updates, but as of now I can’t get this working.

You may want to try reinstalling Frash. I'm assuming you did a reboot after you installed it the first time? I know a lot of people using iPhone 4's on 4.0.1 that have no problems with Frash.

Unless u have 3.2 or higher firmware version Frash toggle won't install on your iPhone 3GS. FYI
Why should one of Steve Jobs' devices use flash? After all you must change for the device, why should the device use what is already in place. I had plastic surgery on my hands, now I get no reception issues. 😉 although now it's harder to drive. Oh well I guess I will wait for the invention of the iCar then my hands might work, and all you suckers are going to need surgery to change your hands. 😛

Does anyone else notice that when your pinky is touching the black line on the side of the phone all reception gets lost? I've dropped numerous calls by accident. Also, I find this iPhone 4 to have worse reception at all times than my 3GS. In my room I usually have 1 bar but with my 3GS I was usually at full reception.
Why would you post a guide on how to cripple and unnecessarily downgrade an iPhone?
Adding a feature cripples and downgrades? You dont even -have- to use it. All flash applets are clickable and activate only when selected. There's even an SBtoggle if you want it off completely.
This does nothing bad to your phone, though it doesn't entirely work yet. It's in the early development stages still. This is just an alpha release.

for your 3GS it's probably because you didn't update it to 4.0.1 because apple corrected the “bar” issue where it would show you have too much amount of bars on your phone when in reality you didn't. It's a possibility your 3GS didnt even have full bars at the time.

Too bad, I tried using it and it doesn't support 3G. One of the dependencies appear to be the minimum CPU requirements.
Lol, the iPhone 4 has a longer battery life then most if not all of it predecessors.

which really doesn't say much for those predecessors. My Treo 650 got 10x the battery life of the iPhone 4. (dont get me wrong I LOVE the device….just the battery is still beyond substandard and crap)

You can trim the SIM, but then it is up to the carrier if they have data plans to support the device, which in this case would be viewed as a “grey market” device.
If the carrier in my country have data plans to support iphone 3G and 3GS, then would it be safe to assume the iphone 4 will work with the trimmed sim? The data plan for the iphone 4 should be the same…

Not sure if I'm the only one with this problem but this DOESN'T work on iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 firmware. Frash installs but I can't use it because all the pages are a grey blank screen where the flash is supposed to be. Not to mention that the SB toggle won't install because the 3.13 version has a conflict with it. I'm thinking 3.1.3 is too old? IDGAF really because my phone is fine the way it is with all the JB apps and everything and to have to restore all of it JUST for flash isn't worth it. Still if there was a way…………..

Installing the flash in iPhone does sound to be a very good thing as this is indeed something that would be of the utmost importance. On top of that there is not much we could be able to do online if we don’t install flash as almost all the websites does have it, moreover, when you have the resources available there will not be many who wouldn’t like to have it installed.
