You Can Now Jailbreak iOS 16.4.1 with Palera1n 2.0.0 Beta 6
Codenamed Bakepale, the latest v2.0.0 beta 6 update to jailbreak tool Palera1n has just been released, which fully supports iOS 16.4 - iOS 16.4.1 jailbreak.
Pod2g Considering Holding On To His Latest Jailbreak Until iOS 6
As we wait for an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1, most are looking at pod2g, who has been the most public with his progress towards actually releasing something. He recently posted on Twitter that, with his current schedule, his newest jailbreak may still be over a month away. Now he has posted on his personal blog that he may wait even longer.
On his personal blog, pod2g has posted a poll, asking jailbreakers if he should hold on to his jailbreak until iOS 6 is released, which may be this fall. As you can see in the screen shot above, a lot of folks really want the jailbreak now, but surprisingly, 40% of the votes say hold onto the exploits for the next firmware.
I will go public and say I am in that 40%. Even though I have an iPhone 4S, and have to stay at iOS 5.0.1, suffering the poor battery life, I think he should hold off until iOS 6. We already have a jailbreak for most devices on iOS 5.1, although it is tethered for some. The tethered jailbreak is not that big of a deal. You just have make sure you keep your battery charged, and don’t reboot your device. Just my opinion.

WWDC is in early June, so there’s only about 1.5 months.
But this way it’s almost guaranteed that a jailbreak will be out.
I think its a good idea to hold off on a jailbreak till ios6. It took so long for a untethered 5.0.1 jailbreak that it would be nice to have something ready for when the next big ios update rolls out. Of course this may not apply to a new iphone, but who knows maybe if people are patient they’ll get a new iphone/ios complete with untethered jailbreak!
Buddy take my word iOS 5.1 hasn’t fixed the battery issue
Apple will most likely close whatever exploit he discovered when iOS 6 comes out, and because it should be a big update there will be other exploits to find.
Release the untether now is my vote.
Pls hold on the exploits until iOS 6, 5.1 is the same stuff like 5.0.1, pls vote for iOS 6, sorry for those who upgraded to 5.1, but is well know by all of us that we never upgrade our devices, and thanks Pod2g for the great work!!!
