RedSn0w 0.9.15b2 Update Released, Fixes 3GS Bootrom & iPad Baseband Issues

A few days back, Dev-Team updated RedSn0w jailbreak tool with ability to restore to older firmwares which are no longer being signed by Apple including iOS 5.x, as well as untethered 6.0 jailbreak & hactivation on old-bootrom 3GS and direct restore option for pre-A5 devices to earlier firmware. Today, another update has been released i.e RedSn0w 0.9.15b2 that addresses a few issues with the previous release.

The update basically fixes baseband upgrade/downgrade issues faced by some original iPad owners. Also, support for untethered jailbreak on iOS 6.0 for 3GS owners with old-bootrom has been restored.

Dev-Team briefs the update on their official blog:

Version 0.9.15b2 fixes a few issues for 3GS owners: old-bootrom awesomeness is no longer forgotten directly after a restore, and iPad baseband upgrade/downgrade support is fixed (same production date cutoffs apply!).  If your 3GS is currently tethered at 6.0 even though you have an old bootrom, just re-run redsn0w’s Jailbreak step (no need to restore).  Don’t forget you can add some pizzaz with your own boot logo or a nerdy verbose boot.
