TELUS Launches 4G LTE Network in Brantford

TELUS has announced the launch of its 4G LTE network in Brantford, part of its ongoing $650 million investment in Ontario over the next three years:

“TELUS is committed to offering the best customer experience and launching our 4G LTE service in Brantford is an excellent example of how we’re doing that,” said Darryl Hutton, director of sales, TELUS. “With a 4G LTE device like Samsung Galaxy S III or Note II, our customers right here will have the fastest wireless internet at their fingertips, as fast as your home internet connection but on your smartphone, tablet or internet key. We are continuing to expand this new technology, community by community, so that by the end of the year many more Ontario residents are expected to have access. It’s an ambitious undertaking.”

TELUS recently launched their 4G LTE network and first previewed a Brantford launch back in early November when the faster network debuted in Newmarket and Aurora. Other recent LTE launches included the Niagara region along with Oshawa and Whitby just over a week ago.

TELUS notes their LTE network now covers more than 65 per cent of the Canadian population and by the end of 2012, other locations such as Sudbury, St. Catharines and Collingwood will get LTE along with others to come. Let us know how those speeds are if you’re in Brantford.
