iOS Hacker Pod2g Focusing Efforts on His New Company 2G Lab

For those wondering what famed iOS hacker Pod2g has been up to, he’s been busy creating and running his new company called 2G Lab.

Pod2g notes his absence from the iOS exploit hunting game is due to the fact his 2G Lab has been occupying his time. The latter focuses on development and security research. Last week, the company released its first iOS app, podDJ in the App Store.

Known as Cyril in real life, the French hacker has been instrumental in discovering various iOS exploits related to SMS spoofing and others that have resulted in numerous untethered iOS jailbreaks. With Apple beefing up security in iOS 6, it appears the jailbreaking scene remains challenging work, thus hackers such Pod2g are putting their efforts into other projects that are worth their time.
