Tim Cook Raises $180,000 In A Day, Could Break President Bill Clinton’s Record

Yesterday, the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights opened bidding on a chance to have coffee with Tim Cook on Apple’s Cupertino campus, as part of a Charity Buzz auction, which details an estimated value worth $50,000. Today, Apple CEO has already raised more money for the RFK Center than all the other celebrities combined, Forbes is reporting.
The publication points out that Cook, who has raised $180,000 so far, could well be on his way to breaking President Bill Clinton’s fundraising record, who raised $255,000 in a single day.
“Right now, our record for experiences is $255,000 to shadow President Clinton for a day,” says a spokesperson for Charitybuzz, which is running the auction. “We think Cook will break Clinton’s record.”
